The Americans are increasing their efforts in Okinawa to persuade their enemies to surrender by dropping tons of leaflets, broadcasting through loudspeakers, and using American Japanese citizens for better translations. As a result, for the first time in the Pacific battlefield, a decent number of Japanese soldiers are surrendering in units.
