The human body is not able to withstand the impact of a free fall from 120, 130, or 140 thousand feet. Engineering problems tend to be prioritized over the psychological side, but it's just as important, and should not be ignored--as in the case with Felix Baumgartner's jump--as it's the missing piece that could save lives.
