Butch DeFeo, the oldest son, had a troubled past and a rocky relationship with his family members, including his sister Dawn, who he allegedly fought with frequently. The stage was set for one of the most violent and horrific crimes in history, the Amityville Horror Murders, which took place on November 13th, 1974.
