The 1984 Bhopal disaster caused 30,000 to 40,000 deaths with Union Carbide engaging in a blame game to avoid any responsibility for the incompetence and mismanagement that led to the calamitous event. The company tried blaming their subsidiary, an unknown Sikh extremist group, and even their own employees who tried to warn them years before.
