The Cult Compound that Inspired Bernard McFadden's Vision for Physical Culture City
Bernard McFadden's vision for Physical Culture City was inspired by Zion City, a small city established by John Alexander Dowie in which people could live a godly life without alcohol, tobacco, pork, doctors, or vaccines. McFadden purchased 1,800 acres of land in northern New Jersey with the aim to create an industrial city.
