The Eccentric Rule of Turkmenistan's Leader Supramarat Niazov
Supramarat Niazov, the great leader of Turkmenistan, had eccentric demands such as making his ministers partake in a five-mile walk every day, and building a concrete path up a mountain to encourage his people to be healthier. He also kept prices low for basic necessities and filled the bazaars with Chinese goods but died of heart failure on December 31st, 2006.
