The concept of fitness payoff functions in evolutionary game theory allowed for the creation of data structures that we call objects, but deeper questions about the origins of fitness payoffs and their relationship to physics and biology remain unanswered. The organisms that were limited to only seeing fitness payoffs were actually the special case, leading to a new understanding of the evolution of game theory.
