The fear of being labeled racist is causing a self-perpetuating phenomenon where people are disinclined to speak out against things they think to be wrong. Liberal white males are becoming more and more inclined to label people racist in a new form of McCarthyism, which is the ultimate cop-out in terms of character assassination.
