A new funding model is de-risking biotech investments for conservative investors, enabling the industry to attract more money from sources such as pensions and insurance firms, rather than just venture capitalists. The model is the brainchild of Kevin Pojasek, founder of True North Therapeutics, who plans to use the model to fund 150 startups researching 150 different diseases.
