Gary Ridgway, also known as the Green River Killer, would take jewelry from his victims and leave it in public areas in hopes that someone would take it and wear it, and he could see it. Despite suspicions from law enforcement and a full search of his home, Ridgway was smart enough not to keep any trophies.
