The Haitian Revolution: Part 3
The Haitian Revolution, involving a long and complex history of enslaved Africans, had leaders who were able to beat the Spanish army, French army, British army, and royalist armies. The ferocious General Desilene ordered an infamous culling of all the whites, turning it into a racial war which had profound implications for all black emulato people as Napoleon's reversal of French policy showed that a white nation could reestablish slavery, strip free descendants of slaves of their rights, and kill them if their families have been contaminated with ideas of liberty.
