Mercer County's Cement Pond was an old-style swimming pool complete with water slides, diving boards, and bathhouses that was the perfect escape for coal miners and their families. Conley, the park's owner, decided to turn it into an elaborate amusement park that attracted over 10,000 visitors a weekend during the summer.
