Despite Facebook's algorithm changes being implemented to reduce traffic on misleading pages, a recent study found that it had the opposite effect on right-wing meme-generating pages. Media Matters also conducted a study tracking narratives spread by meme pages and identified the pages responsible for spreading misinformation.
