Detectives had been building a case against David Knight, the possible suspect in the murder case of his wife, Carmela Knight, but still didn't have enough evidence for an arrest. However, they learned through wiretapping that he was planning to leave the country and were able to prevent his escape last minute by stopping him from boarding a private jet bound for Florida.
