Venus has a molten mantle and rocky core like Earth, but its slow spin prevents it from producing a magnetic field as strong as Earth's, making it much more susceptible to solar winds. Some scientists speculate that Earth's moon may have once orbited Venus before being taken in by Earth's gravity.
