Exercise, particularly weight training and endurance training limited to about 60 minutes, can have a dramatic effect on levels of growth hormone release both during waking hours and during sleep. The greatest growth hormone response is usually seen when an individual warms up before exercise, consumes amino acids such as arginine, and engages in high-intensity interval training.
