The Max Headroom broadcast intrusion occurred on November 22, 1987, when a person wearing a Max Headroom mask hijacked two Chicago television stations - WGN-TV and WTTW - interrupting a live sports and a Dr. Who broadcast, making strange comments and performing odd antics, before the broadcast signal was cut off.
