The Mongol army conquered two-thirds of the population of the earth in 25 years primarily by taking out the aristocracy and giving an opportunity for the lowest level of citizens, including slaves, to rise up within the army, through the leadership of Genghis Khan who was himself a former slave. Despite his reputation as a villain, Genghis Khan encouraged freedom of religion and the prayer for himself as a caveat.
