A detective investigating the murder of Jesse Valencia discovers that an ambitious married police officer named Steven Rios was the victim's secret lover and becomes suspicious that he may be the murderer. However, when Rios shows up to talk to the officers, he claims that he had only arrested Valencia in the past and had nothing to do with the murder.
