Fred Schochner fought to prevent his son from getting a share of the Schochner estate, and though Charlie was eventually granted some of the money, Fred kept millions for himself. He blamed the Long Beach Police Department for not preventing the murder of his wife and even carried out a threat he uttered right after the murder.
