Island Moor, the site of a 7th-century chapel built by an Irish monk who eventually became St. Flannan, is home only to the lighthouse keepers and some sheep. The locals believe that the island is inhabited by gods, ghosts, or just something otherworldly, and that might explain the strange disappearance of the three lighthouse keepers in 1900.
