The Night of Broken Glass was a series of violent anti-Jewish riots initiated by German Nazis on November 9, 1938. Heydrich's SS established a central office in Vienna to catalog Jewish property and provide exit visas for Jewish families to leave the country, but the process was not quick enough for many Germans who responded with a crackdown on Polish Jewish immigrants in Germany.
