Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, predicts that full self-driving cars will be achieved in the late 2020s claiming that the company is delivering products on the path to that end, including its L2 system which will continue to improve. The neural network is the ultimate goal for Tesla, but creating a functional L2 system is what the company is currently based on.
