The Planning and Execution of the Attack on Pearl Harbor
The planning and execution of the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan in 1941 was led by the brilliant military strategist Admiral Yamamoto, who came up with an idea so crazy and improbable that it caught the Americans completely off guard and resulted in a devastating surprise attack. Despite some minority point of view, there are no suggestions that the then-Prime Minister of Japan, Hideki Tojo, was insane.
