Theoretically, fragments of DNA could survive a meteor landing on Earth and could even potentially kickstart life on another planet if they were to land in a suitable environment. There is also the possibility that tardigrades, which can survive in the vacuum of space, could be present on meteors and potentially survive a journey through space.
