Psychedelics offer the neuroscience community an opportunity to fundamentally reinvent the way they look at the mind, consciousness, and reality. In addition to their potential use in mental health and rewiring, psychedelics could potentially offer mechanisms of action for extending cognitive function and delaying the onset of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
