The private investigator hired to work on Adnan Syed's case, Christina Gutierrez, allegedly asked for $65,000 from two women in addition to the payment from Syed's family. The investigator apparently did not seek a plea bargain even though Syed claims he asked her to, casting doubts on the strength of his petition to the Supreme Court.
