In 1987, the PTL Club empire was at its peak, opening the $100 million Crystal Palace Ministry Center which was supposed to be the largest church on earth. The organization had over 2,500 employees and generated more than $125 million per year in revenue, largely due to the popularity of the Heritage USA theme park.
