The Role of Opioid Receptors in Ketamine's Antidepressant Effects
Researchers study the role of opioid receptors in the antidepressant effects of ketamine, and find that its opioid properties are necessary for its antidepressant effects. They also found that naltrexone, a drug that blocks opioid receptors, dramatically decreased the antidepressant effects of ketamine.
