The Phalange, a far-right Spanish political party in the interwar period, endorsed violence and assassination as a means of achieving their goals. While the party leader, Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, was initially reluctant to embrace violence, other leaders were more willing to use it, especially during the period leading up to the Spanish Civil War.
