Mark Zuckerberg's assertion that Facebook immediately shut down the app and took away Kogan's profile as soon as they were alerted of the harvesting of user data has been proven false by The Guardian's further reporting, showing that Kogan and Cambridge Analytica were not suspended until March of 2018.
