The issue of abortion is still unsettled in the way that marriage equality or gay marriage is largely settled in the United States, making it more difficult to predict whether Roe v. Wade will be overturned. The uncertainty is also reflected in the nominee testimony as well as whether the ruling of affirmative action will be overturned.
