A man named John writes to the owner of a large timber operation in the area, urging him to come to a "pathetic little Baptist shit town" and "blow it off the map". The timber operation owner's family owns lots of land in the area and various sawmills, and has evidently been successful in covering up the event, except for the perpetrator, who is bragging about it.
