The efficacy of rapamycin on free living, relatively healthy animals remains uncertain, despite an impact in dogs shown in an unidentified dosing regimen. Large scale, randomized controlled trials are needed to definitively illustrate the benefits of intermittent dosages of rapamycin on these animals.
