Qasem Soleimani and his Quds force were successful in spreading Iranian power across the region, owning the government of Syria, maintaining a sizable base of power in Lebanon, and having a deep connection to the government of Iraq. They also have a huge base of support in Yemen and have spent millions per week backing the Houthi militias fighting against the Saudi-led coalition.
