Biomechanics researcher, Scott Carver, has studied the intestines of wombats and discovered that they have a unique digestive process that results in their poop being shaped like cubes. There is no rival explanation for why they produce cube poop, and the practical use of this discovery is that the drier and squarer the poop is, the healthier the wombat is.
