Alaa Murabit, a UN Women advisor and founder of Voice of Libyan Women, shares her experiences of encouraging women to take an active part in conflict resolution and peace building. Growing up, she spent time watching surgeries at the hospital where her father worked, which shaped her perspective and approach towards problem-solving.
