The strength that women have had for thousands of years to deal with the dark side of reproduction has been disempowered by men taking charge of the narrative, patronizing them and saying that they have a better plan. While men have been involved in wars and bloodshed, women have also been surrounded by blood and held dead babies alone in hotel rooms.
