A yoga practice called Yoga Nidra, also known as yoga sleep, could promote better sleep and reduce stress by allowing the brain and body to get better at turning off thoughts at night. While short-term stress is beneficial for buffering the immune system, regulation of cortisol for extended periods is not recommended unless there is a clinical need.
