Psilocybin as a Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder
Psilocybin, a psychedelic drug, is being proposed for a clinical trial as a treatment for opioid use disorder. Although there are ethical concerns regarding the use of drugs associated with abuse for addiction treatment, studies have shown that psilocybin is not a drug of addiction and does not lead to compulsive drug use.
