The Night of the Long Knives, also known as the Röhm Putsch, was a purge that took place in Nazi Germany from June 30 to July 2, 1934. Led by Heinrich Himmler and Reinhard Heydrich, it resulted in the murder of at least 85 people and marked a turning point in the Nazi regime's consolidation of power.
