The traditional tactic used to board a ship is hooking onto a grappling hook, attaching it to a bucket, putting it in the water, and as the ship tries to drag the bucket, the barbed wire gets pulled; however, boarding a ship is much easier if it has no barbed wires; meanwhile, piracy often happens onboard the ship, and the most preferred target of pirates is a container ship.
