The population of 1.4 billion people in China has no immunity to the virus, and thus, more effective vaccines are needed to shift back to normal society. It is difficult for a zero COVID-19 policy to sustain in the future with more variants- and Xi Jinping has to make people comfortable living with the virus with time.
