Clinical Relevance of Non-inferiority in Drug Trials
The goal of non-inferiority trials is to compare a new drug to a pre-existing one and prove that it is not worse, and potentially better. A two and a half point increase may be clinically relevant and enough to advance clinical utilization and promulgate further studies.
