The Good Friday experiment, which involved giving psilocybin to theology students to study religious experiences, had a 25-year follow-up where most participants felt the experience was one of the most important and meaningful events of their lives. The researcher also did a follow-up in the 80s and eventually found 19 out of the 20 people involved but it took years to locate them.
