The term "Magoo" to describe people with thick glasses is actually insensitive to those who suffer from the neurological disorder of agnosia, specifically prosopagnosia which inhibits their ability to differentiate faces. Agnosia belongs to a general class of neurological disorders that also include apperceptive agnosia, in which people cannot differentiate objects.
