Understanding the prediction mechanism of a single neuron may offer insights into the prediction capabilities of the many brains within the bigger brain. When a whole bunch of neurons are in the predictive state, they anticipate becoming active and disable everything else, leading to different representations in the brain for different contextual inputs.
