Prosopagnosia, or face blindness, has been an understudied and undiagnosed condition that leaves people struggling to recognize faces. Until recently, people have had to figure out workarounds, and it wasn't until 2006 that the Cambridge face memory test was introduced as a standard test to diagnose the condition.
