A study in mice found that blocking the absorption of a derivative of vitamin A that promotes spermatogenesis resulted in male mice not producing sperm. Looking to the future, there is potential for non-hormonal birth control options that work within the body and creatively disrupt the production and transportation of eggs and sperm.
