The idea of being just a platform for access is proving to be wrong, as de facto publishers are the ones who own the platform, and by letting something on the platform, they are giving it permission, a voice, amplification, and access. However, all sides of the debate regarding democracy, censorship, and who should have the power to dictate and control what's published, have valid points.
